National Mega Painting Contest

The National Mega Painting Contest in association with petroleum Conservation Research Association ((Ministry of Oil & Natural Gas Commission)) was organized on 1st December 2009. 294 students from 25 different schools in NCR region participated in the contest. The objective of the contest aims to spread awareness among school students towards energy conservation. The contest was open to school students of class VI to IX on the theme "Save Fuel Yaani Save Money" :
Following were the members of the panel of Judges. Dr. B S Chauhan, College of Arts, Tilak Marg, New Delhi, Shri S N Lal, Senior Srtist, Bal Bhawan, Kotla Marg, New Delhi and Shri Satish Pandita, Chief Exhibition Officer, NSC Delhi. Miss Soham Paul of Amity International School, NOIDA got the first prize. Miss Swati Tanwar of Blue Bells Public School, Sector-10, Gurgaon was coveted with second prize and Miss Kritika Gautam from Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya, Nand Nagari, was awarded third prize.The creations of these students shall be judged in the next round with the prize winners from other 24 units of National Council of Science Museums, spread all over the country. On this occasion a science show and a workshop on fuel saving habits were also organized.
