Celebration At a Glance

Commemorating the International Year of Astronomy an exhibition titled ‘Messages from the Heaven’ that covers information on 5000 year sweep of instruments and world-views that evolved simultaneously in the field of astronomy was inaugurated on 15th May 2009 at the Centre. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr R. Chidambaram,, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Govt. of India & DAE- Homi Bhaba Professor. Dr S N Joshi, Chairman, Executive Committee, national Science Centre, Delhi & Professor, Emiritius, BITS, Pilani , many other dignitaries, school students and teachers were present on this occasion

The newly developed exhibition on ‘Messages from the Heaven’ comprises of panels and 3D exhibits depicting useful information on Astronomy. The exhibition is now touring the different cities of India.
